What is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is for anyone wanting to change.

Saddleback Church in California launched Celebrate Recovery in 1991 with 43 people.  Celebrate Recovery is now in over 29,000 churches worldwide.  The Bible is at the very core of everything we do in Celebrate Recovery.  Jesus is the one and only Higher Power.  Confidentiality is a primary principle of the program.  WHO is at the meeting and WHAT is said in the meeting STAYS in the meeting.

Are there things in my life that I do that hurt others?

Are there things that others do that hurt me?

Is there something I wish I could live without?

Is there a habit I want to change?

If you answered “yes” to any of these statements, then Celebrate Recovery is for you!

We have all been hurt by other people, and other people have hurt us.

HURTS:  An emotional reaction to another person’s behavior or to a disturbing situation. (physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse, rejection, abandonment, broken relationships, divorce, dysfunctional family, family secret)

HABITS:  Something done repeatedly.  (over shopping, over spending, over eating, anorexia, bulimia, hoarding, smoking, alcohol, drugs, gambling, lust, pornography)

HANG-UPS:  A negative mental attitude that is used to cope with people or adversity. (anger, resentment, unforgiveness, guilt, depression, low self-esteem, isolation, fear, stress, OCD, perfectionism)

No matter what your hurt, hang-up or habit, don’t give up!  Celebrate Recovery can help you gain freedom from life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups.

Real people, real issues, real hope.

Friday Night at 7pm.

Step Study
Celebrate Recovery Step Study

Step Studies are a type of Celebrate Recovery small groups.  They meet on different times than our Tuesday night large group and open share groups.  The step study small groups actually go through the four Celebrate Recovery participant's guides together.  They answer and discuss the questions at the end of each lesson together.  They close the group (i.e., no new members) after they have completed the lessons on the third principle at the end of the first participant's guide.  Step study groups meet together for twelve months.  There are separate groups for men and women.

The step study is where we get into the heart of the program and true healing from their lives' hurts, hang-ups, and habits occurs.
